Crimson Desert update 1.12.01 fixes disappearing outdoor furniture and more

Pearl Abyss has pushed Crimson Desert update 1.12.01, a smaller but tidy patch that fixes several persistent bugs across PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. Players on Epic Games Store and Mac App Store will need to wait a bit longer — Pearl Abyss says that version is still in progress.

The headline fix stops outdoor furniture from vanishing in certain situations, something that's been tripping up players since the game launched. The patch also resolves an issue where climbing onto moving objects wasn't working as intended, fixes unnatural lighting on glass materials, corrects floating terrain on the path to the Sanctum of Faith, and stops Skunky from disappearing when placed in camp.

Crimson Desert launched in March to mixed reviews, and Pearl Abyss shares dipped after the game underperformed initial expectations. Since then, though, the game has turned into a genuine hit — the studio announced earlier this month that it has sold over 6 million copies worldwide. That success translated into a bonus of roughly $3,400 for every Pearl Abyss employee, and the studio has confirmed DLC is now in the works.

This patch is smaller than recent updates, which added new mounts and minigames including pinball. With DLC on the roadmap, Pearl Abyss looks set to keep building on the game's momentum through the rest of 2025 and into 2026.
