Helldivers 2 community raises record funds for Save The Children with HEROES 2026

Arrowhead Game Studios is spotlighting the Helldivers 2 community's HEROES 2026 fundraiser, an annual charity event run by the Freedom Alliance in partnership with Save The Children. The campaign wrapped up on June 28, and this year's edition more than doubled the amount raised in 2025.

The Freedom Alliance — the largest independent Helldivers 2 community, with over 50,000 active members across Discord and their website — organized the event around auctions of items signed by Arrowhead staff alongside community-made goods. This year added a Streamathon co-led by Propaganda Commander Commissar Kai and a wide roster of community contributors, which is what pushed the fundraising total so far past last year's. Approximately 155 community members participated in total, with Arrowhead calling out a long list of streamers and creators including Bricky, Tinatheterror, Glitch Unlimited, and many others.

The HEROES fundraiser has its roots in a Major Order from two years ago, when Helldivers players voted to skip the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mine stratagem for the third time and instead rescue children trapped in Super Citizen Anne's hospital on Vernen Wells. Arrowhead was apparently surprised by the choice, but the Freedom Alliance ran with the spirit of it and turned the moment into a yearly charity anchor event.

Arrowhead also confirmed a hotfix is in development, with more details coming next week. For now, the studio is clearly happy to hand the spotlight to the players — Super Earth salutes you.
