Helldivers 2 gets new anti-cheat system targeting Super Credit exploiters

Arrowhead Game Studios has rolled out a new anti-cheat system for Helldivers 2, targeting players who exploit automation and duplication glitches to farm Super Credits at rates no legitimate player could ever reach. The studio announced the change via a Steam blog post, framing it as a direct response to sustained community feedback since launch.

The system works by monitoring Super Credit earn rates and flagging accounts that accumulate credits far beyond what even the highest legitimate earners have ever recorded. Arrowhead is clear that the cap is set so high it will never touch honest players — whether they're grinding maps, clearing POIs, or looting bunkers across a full weekend session. Legitimate players keep every credit they earn, permanently. The studio also confirmed the same monitoring will extend to other reward currencies: Medals, Samples, and Requisition. Players who believe their account has been flagged incorrectly can contact Arrowhead through its player support portal.

Super Credits are Helldivers 2's premium in-game currency, used to unlock Warbonds and cosmetics. Because they can be found in small amounts through normal gameplay, some players have used bots and duplication exploits to accumulate them at scale — effectively devaluing the currency for everyone else and undermining the sense that grinding actually means something. Arrowhead has faced persistent criticism over the game's economy and anti-cheat measures since the game launched to massive numbers in early 2024, so this move is a direct attempt to shore up player trust on that front.
