inZOI's August update targets stability first, deeper life simulation second

Krafton's inZOI team has laid out its development priorities ahead of the end-of-August update, and the message is clear: bug fixes and stability come before new features. Lead developer kjun posted a candid update acknowledging that recent builds have surfaced more issues than expected — including three new major bugs discovered in a single day, with a hotfix being prepared over the weekend.

The team has identified three core areas needing the most work: overall game stability and bug resolution, more natural connections between the family, school, personality, economy, and relationship systems, and deeper development for newborns, toddlers, and children. On the simulation side, planned improvements include academic performance affecting employment and promotions, poor family relationships impacting school grades or triggering job resignations, and traits shaping daily routines like exercise or reading habits. Childhood food experiences and accidents will carry forward as preferences, aversions, or phobias into adult life. Significant memories and life events will be logged in greater detail, and important moments will be visible through a News Feed UI with a photo-saving feature.

On the bug front, the team is actively fixing a save-file crash, an infinite loading loop when switching between members in a six-person household, a crash tied to death by old age, and an issue where child Zois could incorrectly be flagged as high school graduates after aging up. inZOI launched into Early Access in March 2025 and has been running weekly development posts to keep its community informed during what Krafton describes as an active stabilization phase. The FF (fan feedback) list — a running tracker of community-requested fixes — is around 40% addressed, with more items held back due to release scheduling.

Kjun acknowledged the team has been repeating stability promises and directly referenced the risk of sounding like "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," pledging to let results speak instead.
