Pokémon TCG 2026 release schedule: every set, collection, and 30th Celebration product confirmed

The Pokémon TCG calendar for 2026 is taking shape, with a string of confirmed releases running from January through November and a landmark 30th Anniversary set headlining the back half of the year. The full schedule spans eight major releases, and the 30th Celebration expansion in particular is getting a multi-wave product rollout that's bigger than anything the TCG has done in years.

Here's the confirmed 2026 release calendar at a glance: Pokémon Day 2026 Collection (Jan. 30), Perfect Order (Mar. 27), Chaos Rising (May 22), Pitch Black (Jul. 17), First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 (Aug. 7), 30th Celebration (Sep. 16), and Delta Reign (Nov. 6). Pitch Black — known as Abyss Eye in Japan — debuts Mega Darkrai ex alongside Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex, and Mega Excadrill ex, with over 115 cards and more than 35 special illustration cards in the set. The First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 focuses on Hoenn, Kalos, and Paldea starters and is priced at $14.99. The 30th Celebration set launches globally on September 16 in a simultaneous worldwide release — a first for the TCG — with every six-card booster pack going full foil, including Basic Energy, and each pack containing one of 30 unique Pikachu artworks. A new premium card tier called Futuristic Rare debuts with the set, starting with Mew and Mewtwo. The 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box runs $49.99 and includes nine booster packs, a full-art Nidorina promo — chosen because Nidorina is #0030 in the National Pokédex — 16 foil Energy cards, and the usual accessories. A Pokémon Center exclusive version bumps that to 11 packs and two Nidorina promos, one with a Pokémon Center stamp. Booster packs won't be sold individually; they're only available inside products. Wave 2 lands October 2 with Day and Night Mini Tins ($9.99), a Binder Collection ($31.99), and a Booster Bundle ($26.94). Wave 3 follows October 30.

The Pokémon TCG is currently riding a wave of collector hype that rivals the early-2000s playground craze, fueled in part by the Scarlet and Violet era's Mega Evolution ex mechanic and the runaway success of sets like Prismatic Evolutions. The simultaneous global launch for 30th Celebration is a direct response to the grey-market import problem that has driven up prices on Japan-first releases — a persistent frustration for Western collectors. Pitch Black's relatively compact 115-card checklist is a deliberate contrast to the sprawling 295-card Ascended Heroes set, which may make it a more approachable chase for players who felt burned by that set's scope.

Community interest in the 30th Celebration products is already high, with the Nidorina promo detail generating genuine enthusiasm among longtime fans for its Pokédex number Easter egg. The Futuristic Rare tier is the one to watch for secondary market prices — YOSHIROTTEN's artwork on those cards has already been called out as a standout chase. With the full year's roadmap not yet officially locked in, The Pokémon Company is expected to announce additional surprise products as 2026 progresses.
