PS Plus July 2026 adds Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Rise of the Ronin, and two PS2 classics

PlayStation revealed the July 2026 PS Plus Extra and Premium game catalog additions on July 15, and it's a solid month headlined by two sprawling open-world games and a pair of genuinely interesting PS2 throwbacks.

The two marquee titles are Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, landing July 21, and Rise of the Ronin, available immediately from July 15 — both PS5 only. Avatar is Ubisoft's Far Cry-style open-world set in James Cameron's Pandora, and while it had a mixed reception at launch, it's since found an audience who appreciate its lush environments and cleaner open-world design compared to recent Far Cry entries. Rise of the Ronin is Team Ninja's samurai action RPG, a meaty open-world game with deep combat that flew somewhat under the radar when it launched in 2024. Rounding out Extra and Premium are Firefighting Simulator: Ignite (July 21), Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind, Dying Light, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, and Snow Bros. Wonderland — all arriving July 28. Premium subscribers also get two PS2 classics: Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and Indigo Prophecy, both hitting July 21 on PS5 and PS4. Psi-Ops is a mid-2000s action game built around telekinetic powers, while Indigo Prophecy — known as Fahrenheit outside North America — is David Cage's early supernatural thriller adventure, an oddball precursor to Heavy Rain.

These PS2 picks are the kind of games that rarely get re-released or remastered, so their appearance in the Premium classics catalog is a genuine treat for players who missed them the first time around. Rise of the Ronin and Avatar together represent a serious chunk of single-player content — easily 60 to 100 hours combined if you go deep on both.

All games require an active PS Plus Extra or Premium subscription to access — Essential tier subscribers don't get catalog access. If your subscription lapses, you lose access until you re-subscribe, so keep that in mind before diving into a 40-hour open-world game.
