Starward V3.1 Launches on Xbox with New Operators, Frame Arms Girl Rerun, and Free Summer Skin

Starward version 3.1 – Summer Dive – is live now on Xbox, bringing three new Star Operators, a returning collaboration event, and a summer-themed underwater event with a free cosmetic reward.

The headliner is Pliszka, a ranged fighter from the AODS-AFTU faction whose Wing Rider Assembly gives her heavy firepower and a Cruising State for high-speed engagements. The trade-off is a larger hitbox and faster descent speed – but players can detach the assembly mid-fight to shift into a lighter, more agile mode, effectively giving her two distinct combat identities. Lead designer Zongzi explained the intent: "From the very beginning, we set out to find the perfect balance between heavy firepower and mobility. Pliszka is designed as an all-rounder who can excel in both roles." Her limited-time banner is live now. Joining her are Remiel and Simona, rounding out the 3.1 roster alongside the Season Pass character LM. The Frame Arms Girl crossover rerun also kicks off today, giving players another shot at Gourai-Kai, Stylet, and Baselard. The summer event tasks players with an underwater treasure hunt – complete daily missions, earn Exploration Coins, and spend them in the event shop. Cherub's swimsuit skin is free for all players, and Lancelot also gets a summer skin. Zongzi hinted that a mystery character may appear during the underwater exploration, though details are being kept under wraps.

Starward is a 3D mecha-girl fighting game from Shengtianyouxi built around 1v1 and 2v2 combat. The Frame Arms Girl collaboration – based on Kotobukiya's model kit and anime franchise – previously ran before 3.1, making this rerun the first opportunity for players who missed the original event to recruit those characters.

Version 3.1 is free to play on Xbox. With a stacked update combining new operators, a fan-requested collab rerun, and a seasonal event with free rewards, it's a dense drop for the game's community heading into summer.
