Matt Damon's Odysseus and Agamemnon Are Coming to Fortnite on July 16

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is getting the Fortnite treatment — Matt Damon's Odysseus lands in the item shop on Thursday, July 16, the same day as the game's next major update.

Epic Games has already shown off footage of the Odysseus skin, and it's unmistakably based on Damon's likeness. Leaker ShiinaBR also revealed a second skin: Agamemnon, the hulking character played by Benny Safdie in the film. Both drop on July 16. Players who want to try for Odysseus without opening their wallet can enter an in-game tournament — though most will walk away with just an Odyssey-themed loading screen for a low-ranking finish.

The collab lands just one day before The Odyssey hits theaters on July 17, 2026. Fortnite has been on a crossover tear this season — the same update also brings in England football icon David Beckham and a wave of Batman characters in swimsuits. Epic has made a habit of timing big item shop drops to major pop-culture releases, and a Christopher Nolan blockbuster with a star-studded cast is exactly the kind of event that fits the pattern.

The Cyclops, apparently, did not make the cut — though given Fortnite's track record, never say never.
